The Worldwide Association of Female Professionals Recognizes Member, Dr. Galit Avinoam Dar

Dr. Galit Avinoam Dar is a Medical Doctor at Sheba Medical Center, Israel, and has over 22 years of experience in the field of her expertise. She is the Head of the Mohs surgery unit in the Plastic surgery department in the hospital as well as coordinating all skin cancer surgeries in the hospital, and is responsible for skin cancer surgical removal surgeries. She specializes in plastic surgery and facial reconstruction.

Dr. Avinoam Dar teaches residents in Plastic surgery, and has taken part in the WoMed mentorship program. Dr. Avinoam Dar is a Board Certificate Plastic Surgeon and is an examiner on said board.

Dr. Avinoam Dar did a fellowship in Toronto University (UFT) in Mohs surgery and Reconstructive Facial surgery. She is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

She also works in her private office in Israel as a Mohs surgeon performing Plastic Reconstructive surgery and Cosmetic surgery. She holds a doctoral degree in Medicine from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, 1996.

Dr. Avinoam-Dar is married to Dr. Shir Dar, and has three children. In the coming years she would like to continue to grow in her profession. She owes her success to family support, being focused on her carrier, and loving her job.

She is most proud of becoming a surgeon and is looking forward to connecting and communicating ideas with other like-minded professionals, while gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member the Worldwide Association of Female Professionals (WAoFP).
