The Worldwide Association of Female Professionals Recognizes Julie A. Brown
Julie A. Brown, Co-founder and Director of Business Development at Insight to Recovery, is a mental health industry professional with over 20 years’ experience. Insight to Recovery is a 35-bed PHP (partial hospitalization), IOP (intensive outpatient), and OP (outpatient) program treating males and females ages 18-60. Based in Florida, the company is a nationally recognized organization with over 15 years providing services in Palm Beaches. Julie is responsible for all business development and community outreach within the organization.
Julie has an outstanding team at Insight to Recovery and is proud of the clinical treatment the program provides. Driven by an innate desire to help people, Julie and her husband established Insight to Recovery in 2001. They have been very successful in their mission: To provide Real Life Recovery which combines clinical services and a unique level of care that bridges the gap between the lessons of treatment and the actual experience of sobriety in real life.
Julie is very proud of how the company is growing and standing out in the community. As of January 2016 Insight To Recovery has been awarded the JCHAO for their dedication to providing the best practices in treatment of mental health and substance abuse. Over the next 3 to 5 years she plans on writing a book about building a business and the ups and downs that go along with that. She also plans on traveling, and improving her personal development.
Julie holds a degree in Family Studies and Community Development and a Minor in Psychology from The University of Maryland. She has worked as a Family Service Counselor for the Department of Children and Families, and has gained a wealth of experience working at a Residential Eating Disorder Treatment Program in the Admission Department for 7 years. Julie is a participant in her own 12 step program and is actively involved in developing a foundation that provides education, support, and resources to families whose loved ones are struggling with an addiction.
Julie’s wealth of knowledge and experience in working in various types of industries make her a valuable source of information for members and their families that struggle with addiction. With the raise of alcohol and drug addiction in the United States alone, many families are affected by this epidemic. Julie can help to provide resources for family members to get help.
