The Worldwide Association of Female Professionals Recognizes Member, Krista Spensley

Krista Spensley is the newly appointed CEO of GEM Services, a company leading the way in industrial access matting in Alberta.  Krista is the first female CEO of an access matting company in North America and brings dynamic leadership skills and unmatched expertise in customer service to the industry.

Since moving into the CEO position Krista has taken charge of the company and aims to continue its’ growth in the industry into further reaches of Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Krista’s natural talent for adding insight and value to her team’s performance is a perfect fit for this innovative company that developed SmartMat Technology in 2015.  This technological advancement for the oil and gas industry allows Clients to save money and protect the environment by tracking their assets in the field.

Through their work in access matting GEM Services found an opportunity to positively impact the environment and became the Canadian distributor of Ekomats in 2018.  Ekomats are an industrial use access mat made from 75+ % recycled single-use plastics.  This innovative design uses those plastics that are filling our oceans and landfills and transforms them into useful products.
