The Worldwide Association of Female Professionals Recognizes Member, Stefania Colecchia
Stefania Colecchia has been working as a qualified tourist guide in Venice, Italy for the past 22 years. In addition to her native Italian, she is certified in Italian, Russian, and English, and has always enjoyed a passion for literature, the arts, history, languages, and culture. She passed the State Board Examination to be a Qualified Tourist Guide in Venice in 1997, and is also certified work as a Tour Leader. She hopes to receive the certification to work with people who have a cognitive or sensorial disability (T-Guide Certification is a cooperation with the EU with ENAT and the FEG). She completed the four necessary steps to be accredited and is currently waiting for the results. She graduated from the Venetian State University of Ca’ Foscari in 1990.
Currently, she is working to become certified to guide disabled individuals who suffer from certain ailments, so that she can help improve accessibility and make an impact on the lives of an even more diverse group of people. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other likeminded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
