Charlotte Kirby is the Owner and Operator of The Village Hive. She has worked for close to 20 years in the corporate world in various roles from teaching, career counselling for newcomers to Canada, human resources, healthcare, government but has most recently embarked on an exciting entrepreneurial venture. She is the owner/operator of a new co-working (shared open office space) space for entrepreneurs, independent professionals who are looking for a place to set up their laptop for the day, network with other like-minded people, collaborate and grow their businesses. She loves to help others grow their businesses and be the best they can be. Charlotte started this venture as a brand new start-up began in February 2016. She began in the Health Care field and decided that the corporate world was no longer for her before starting her own business to help foster entrepreneurs and bring people together in a co-working space. Charlotte has been interviewed for local TV about her business. She has done talks through Start-Up York, which is a part of Start-Up Canada. In the next 3 to 5 years, Charlotte is hoping to exponentially grow the business, currently with 30 members and growing quickly. She is also looking to increase her business space, with the possibility of opening new locations and is looking to get young entrepreneurs and university students involved to help foster their ambitions and ideas. Outside of work Charlotte volunteers with 100 Women Who Care and is also a member of TEDx Stouffville. She is thrilled to join the professional network and looks forward to networking with other like-minded business professionals.
